I’m José Antonio Pérez, or “Josiete”. A good friend from the neighborhood came up with a pun based on my name. He said, “I’m not going to call you simply ‘Josete’ — that’s a Spanish term of endearment. Let’s put an i in the middle and it will look like a 7.” We found it funny, and somehow it ended up becoming part of almost every aspect of my life.

Later, I found out that “Josiete” apparently means something like “Josefa” in Portuguese. But, well… who cares? This is my personal space for writing about data, programming, tools, and software development.

The site brings together notes, explanations, and practical experience with technologies I use regularly. I also write about building software and working with artificial intelligence agents. I love history and technology, so you may also find the occasional curious article about those subjects.
